چکیده
A concept of transparent “quantum dot glass” (TQDG) is proposed for a combination quantum (QD)-based glass luminescent solar concentrator (LSC) and its edge-attached cells, as type photovoltaics (TPVs) building-integrated (BIPVs). Different from conventional LSCs, which typically serve pure optical devices, TQDGs have to fulfill requirements both power-generating components building construction materials. In this work, we demonstrate large-area (400 cm2) based on silicon QDs in triplex configuration. An overall power conversion efficiency (PCE) 1.57% was obtained with back-reflection TQDG (average visible transmittance 84% color rendering index 88 low haze ?3%), contributing light utilization (LUE) 1.3%, among the top reported TPVs LSC technology similar size. Most importantly, these are shown better thermal sound insulation properties compared normal float glass, well improved mechanical performance safety, significantly pushes TPV toward practical integration. simultaneously exhibit favorable photovoltaic, aesthetic, envelope characteristics can multifunctional material realization nearly zero-energy concepts.

Colloidal quantum dot photovoltaics: a path forward.
Colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) offer a path toward high-efficiency photovoltaics based on low-cost materials and processes. Spectral tunability via the quantum size effect facilitates absorption of specific wavelengths from across the sun's broad spectrum. CQD materials' ease of processing derives from their synthesis, storage, and processing in solution. Rapid advances have brought colloidal qu...

متن کاملMgZnO High Voltage Thin Film Transistors on Glass for Inverters in Building Integrated Photovoltaics
Building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) have attracted considerable interests because of its aesthetically attractive appearance and overall low cost. In BIPV, system integration on a glass substrate like windows is essential to cover a large area of a building with low cost. However, the conventional high voltage devices in inverters have to be built on the specially selected single crystal s...

The authors report the growth of multiwall carbon nanotubes directly onto indium tin oxide glass via chemical vapor deposition as large area semitransparent electrodes for organic solar cell applications. The rate of nanotube growth on this ternary oxide is greatly reduced as compared to that of silicon dioxide and glass substrates enabling a high degree of control over nanotube height. The str...
